Trinity High School athletic teams compete in the Mid Penn Conference and PIAA District III. Teams and athletes have competed and won at all levels of the PIAA state organization. Students have the opportunity to participate in a wide variety of sports throughout the school year, complementing the whole-student experience at Trinity High School.

Matt O’Brien started with Select Medical Physical Therapy in 2015.  Matt has been the head athletic trainer at Trinity High School since the beginning of August 2015.  His duties include providing quality athletic training service at all home athletic events and all away football games, coordinating rehabilitation for all student-athletes, and providing educational tools for injury prevention and awareness.

Matt earned a bachelors degree in Sports Medicine from King’s College in 2004, an associates degree in Physical Therapy Assistant from Penn State in 2006, and a masters degree in Exercise Science from California University of PA in 2011. He is also recognized by the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS).  Previously Matt worked as the head athletic trainer for Nativity BVM High School in Pottsville, PA and Shamokin Area High School in Coal Township, PA.

Matt has been a NATA-BOC Certified Athletic Trainer since 2004 and is licensed by the state of Pennsylvania as both a Certified Athletic Trainer and a Physical Therapy Assistant. Some of his interests include golfing, fishing, riding his motorcycle, and spending time with his  fiancé Adrienne and their dogs T-shirt, Lincoln Log, and Cliff.  Matt hails originally from Mount Carmel, PA and currently resides in Camp Hill, PA.

Clinical Experience: Since 2010

Tressa Thomas, DPT, is the Center Manager for Select Physical Therapy in the Camp Hill outpatient center located at 3025 Market Street.  She has achieved success in the treatment of orthopedic injuries such as shoulder pain, elbow tendonitis, knee pain, vestibular disorders, post surgical conditions including total knee replacements and rotator cuff repairs, and several sports injuries.

Tressa earned a Doctorate of Physical Therapy at Slippery Rock University in 2010 as well as a degree in Exercise Science in 2008.

Tressa was born and raised in Pittsburgh . Thus , she is an avid Penguin fan. Tressa grew up playing basketball, fast-pitch softball, and participating in jazz dance . She currently plays kickball for the Kickball League of Pennsylvania in which her team has won first place the past two seasons. On February 15, 2014, she got engaged while vacationing in Disneyland and has since gotten married! Tressa also has a cat named Sydney and two “Chi Poos” named Jazzy and Bella .

Brian Bixler, MD specializes in the care of the injured athlete and the pediatric patient. Dr. Bixler focuses his practice on sports medicine and pediatric orthopaedics, targeting his patient population to age 21 and younger.

Renee Long, OTRIL, CHT, is an Occupational Therapist for Select Physical Therapy’s Camp Hill outpatient center  . located at 3025 Market Street.  She has achieved success in the treatment of hand and upper extremity injuries such as carpal tunnel syndrome, arthritic conditions, ligament injuries and post surgical conditions, such as fracture fixation and tendon laceration repair.

Renee has been an occupational therapist since 1994 and a certified hand therapist since 2001. She was born and raised in Camp Hill and attended Towson University in Baltimore, MD. As a mother of 2 elementary school aged children, she spends a lot of time at various sporting events and running back and forth to practices. When there is extra time she enjoys participating in zumba classes, home improvement projects, and spending time with friends and family.
